“Clare Interactive”, an Art Exhibition by Cathal Butler
Clare County Council and Clare Arts Office are providing a platform for local artist Cathal Butler to present "Clare Interactive”, at the Clare Museum in Ennis.
Venue: Clare Museum, Ennis, Co. Clare
Date: 10th September, to 11th October 2024, inclusive
Cathal is an artist, registered as a professional member with Visual Artists Ireland and works from Tulla Stables Art Studios in Tulla, County Clare. The Tulla Stables are a dedicated workspace and studio facility provided by Clare County Council for visual artists in east Clare and beyond.
Cathal mainly does landscapes in oils and has done several collections for hotels around the country. He has previously exhibited at the Scarriff Library Gallery, the Clare Museum in Ennis and Cultúrlann Sweeney Gallery in Kilkee, County Clare.
Cathal’s art exhibition offers a captivating journey to the landscapes of County Clare, featuring stunning paintings of Ennis, Clarecastle and Tulla to name a few. Each piece captures the beauty of these locations and also includes a unique interactive element. Every painting has a QR code and by scanning the QR code visitors can access a virtual tour of the exact location that inspired each painting, creating an immersive and enriched experience. This blend of traditional art and modern technology allows viewers to engage with Cathal's art on a deeper level, exploring the scenic beauty of County Clare both on canvas and virtually.
The background music in the VR tours is by the Pub Runners from Michigan, USA and this exhibition is taking place in conjunction with: the Clare Museum; Hitechniques, Dublin; and Treacy’s Hotel, Ennis
This free exhibition will run from the 10th September to 11th October, 2024, inclusive, and everyone is welcome.
